Sztabin: Police stop illegal cigarette maker

In the municipality of Sztabin, police moved against a suspected illegal cigarette production site. Officers from the Augustów area detained a 32-year-old man who, according to initial findings, is believed to have manufactured tobacco products without the required permits. The case may have consequences not only for the alleged unlicensed production of cigarettes: during the inspection, officers also came across dried plant material that was preliminarily assessed as marijuana.

Investigators said the detained man is a resident of the Sztabin municipality. Police did not release his identity.
