Augustów: amphetamine found on 16-year-old

Police officers in Augustów have seized amphetamine during an operation and focused their investigation on a minor suspect. According to the police, more than three grams of the substance were found in total. Part of it was reportedly discovered on a 16-year-old, and additional amounts were later found at his place of residence.

The case will now proceed not through a standard criminal court as it would for adults, but under the jurisdiction of the family court. That court will decide what happens next for the teenager. In its statement, the police describe proceedings in which the circumstances of possession, the origin of the substances, and the overall classification of the incident will be examined.

Discovery during a check and further seizure

From the investigators’ perspective, the two-stage discovery is crucial: first, drugs were found on the teenager himself. In the next step, officers carried out measures that led to further seizures at his home.
