Speaker FAQ – Guidelines for Your Talk

Conference stage with microphone – SEO-Day speaker FAQ
1.

Ad-free presentations

  • Your talks at SEO-Day must be ad-free. The focus is on substantive value for attendees.
  • No advertising for software tools, SaaS products, or agency services – including hidden product pitches or lengthy tool demos.
  • You may mention which company you work for. Preferably on the last slide – not as the central theme of your talk.
2.

Start with content immediately

  • Start directly with substantive content – not with a long self-introduction on the first slide.
  • No extended “about me”, company history, or career recap at the beginning.
  • Your expertise should show in the talk itself; a separate introduction round is not planned.
3.

Introduction by the moderator

  • We have a moderator who introduces all speakers on stage.
  • Please do not introduce yourself – neither verbally at the start nor as a long intro block in your slides.
  • Coordinate your talk and key points with the moderator in advance so the introduction fits.
4.

Tech: Bring Your Own Device

  • Bring Your Own Device (BYOD): Please bring your own laptop for the presentation.
  • This lets you work in your familiar setup and feel more comfortable on stage.
  • If you do not have your own device, contact the organizer in good time so suitable equipment can be provided.
5.

Duration and slide format

  • Your talk is 30 minutes long. Plan your content and pacing accordingly – including brief time for questions at the end if scheduled by the moderator.
  • All presentations must use 16:9 format. Please create your slides in this aspect ratio so they display correctly on stage.
6.

Slide submission & contact

  • Please send your presentation slides to Fabian Rossbacher at least one week before the conference.
  • Fabian Rossbacher is available at any time for questions about your talk, schedule, or organizational details.
7.

Slide design: SEO-Day logo & CI

  • We would be delighted if you use the SEO-Day logo on your slides – however, this is not mandatory.
  • Our attendees appreciate a professional, consistent look when slides are not overloaded with advertising or company logos on every single slide. This creates a sense of belonging to the SEO-Day conference.
  • We strongly recommend this approach – but it is not a requirement.
  • If your company and you have your own corporate design, you are welcome to use it.
8.

Speaker thank-you benefits

  • Speakers may receive a free booth for their company at SEO-Day.
  • Employees you bring along also receive a 50% discount on tickets.
  • Speakers are of course invited and do not need to purchase a ticket for entry.
9.

Schedule & speaker dinner

  • You can find the full schedule including the speaker dinner time on the planning page. All times and program items for SEO-Day are listed there.
  • The speaker dinner takes place together with selected customers who have booked the dinner.
  • Speakers are invited to the speaker dinner.
